Of course you want a strike fighter. Who doesn't? We are extremely happy to announce the release of our next fixed-wing aircraft, the F/A-18F Super Hornet. Plane porn and more, on the linked brochure. Hey, it's a point-one update. You know what that means - something significantly new. What is it? The Attachment-Based A-10C Model As of version 1.1, you will find another box inside the A-10C's retail box, named "A-10C Attachable Model (Boxed)". In this box you will find an object called "A-10C (Attachable)" and a copy of the HUD. This version is intended to work around issues related to sim crossings and multiple mesh models and for those who wish to simply fly and cruise around, and for those wishing to fly in areas in which high land impact vehicles are unwelcome. The easiest way to use this is as so:
Done. Everything should function as it does with the standalone, with some exceptions regarding the body and base vanishing when you are no longer seated on it. This model is only recommended for those who need to use it for the above-mentioned scenarios. As it has a greater level of complexity to an already complex system, the unified, non-attachment model will likely prove to be much more reliable for combat operations. For those of you who have struggled, yes, I have heard you. I do realize the A-10 can be challenging, especially for those of you who are not used to an aircraft that behaves more like a simulation and less like a toy. So I wanted to make things easier on you. However, I will not dumb down the flight model because I think that's insulting your intelligence, and because as a licenced pilot myself, planes that don't fly like planes just look and feel totally wrong. So, version 1.0.3 introduces "ReCall". I'll let this excerpt from the manual tell you about it.
Okay, not cash per se, but L$! The hiatus is over, and every Saturday, Fulda Gap is again hosting PvP combat for those OCS mercenaries who can handle the challenge - or are just so broke that shooting friends and strangers alike for money no longer raises sticky ethical questions.
