"The Governor Called!" - A Stay of Execution for FG PDF Print E-mail

After careful consideration and in speaking with some interested parties, Fulda Gap is to remain open as an OCS sim for the forseeable future.  With the abrupt closure of Nova Kierman (thanks for the heads up, Lucci!) the closure of FG would have left no openly public dedicated OCS regions, which is something I don't think is good for the brand, nor for those who have invested their money and time into playing with OCS.

However,  I have come to the conclusion that role play and a combat system which can be as fast and deadly as OCS don't really mix.  I have been discussing several ideas with people as to what kind of activity would be both appealing to players and able to utilize the combat system and Fulda Gap itself.

Some ideas which have been bandied about include things like scheduled group events, ladder play, 2 vs. 2 and 4 vs. 4 exhibition play (get your season front-row tickets today!) and generally activity to gather and focus people to play and have fun.  Or in the event of exhibition play, maybe grab the popcorn and cheer on your friend's team as they get chewed up by a tank.

So this week I have a request.  Give us your ideas.  Yes, I'm being democratic for a change.  It's your big chance to get in your two cents and help morph the game play in Fulda into the kind you like playing.  As usual, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is the email you want.  Also, the Fulda Gap RP group channel is there if you want to discuss ideas with me or other players, of course.

Oh, and if you drop into Fulda you may find you have unusual company that's curious about you - curious about hunting you down and killing you, that is.  But, more on that later. :)
