Hey, it's a point-one update. You know what that means - something significantly new. What is it?

The Attachment-Based A-10C Model

As of version 1.1, you will find another box inside the A-10C's retail box, named "A-10C Attachable Model (Boxed)". In this box you will find an object called "A-10C (Attachable)" and a copy of the HUD. This version is intended to work around issues related to sim crossings and multiple mesh models and for those who wish to simply fly and cruise around, and for those wishing to fly in areas in which high land impact vehicles are unwelcome.

The easiest way to use this is as so:

  1. Attach theĀ A-10C HUD. (It will offer you one if you don't, but there are enough dialogue boxes on start, I think.)
  2. RezĀ A-10C (Attachable) - this is the 'base' for the aircraft. You'll see an orange box sitting a couple of meters off the ground.
  3. RIght click and sit on the orange box.
  4. You'll get a request for attachment perm from the ACES II ejection seat as usual. Select Yes.
  5. The body of the A-10 will rez in place around you. You'll also get an attachment request from it. Select Yes.

Done. Everything should function as it does with the standalone, with some exceptions regarding the body and base vanishing when you are no longer seated on it.

This model is only recommended for those who need to use it for the above-mentioned scenarios. As it has a greater level of complexity to an already complex system, the unified, non-attachment model will likely prove to be much more reliable for combat operations.
